John Mortenson
President and Chief Executive Officer
John Mortenson has over 25 years experience in senior leadership positions. Mr. Mortenson joined Medrium in 2006, and has served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer before being named President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Medrium, Mr. Mortenson served as Chief Operating Officer of Vestcom International, Inc., and earlier as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mortenson also held several management positions at LP Thebault Company, including Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales, before becoming Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Mortenson received a B.A. in Accounting from Northeastern University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Prasad Mokkapati
Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Prasad Mokkapati has over 15 years experience as a software architect, implementing mission critical Internet and intranet systems. Before founding Medrium in 1998, Mr. Mokkapati served as a senior architect at Borland. He was also the Co-Founder and the Vice President of Engineering at PostModern Computing. While at PostModern, Mr. Mokkapati created the Visibroker® product line, licensed to such companies as Healtheon, Netscape, Oracle, Cisco and Sun. Mr. Mokkapati earned a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Thomas Smith
Chief Financial Officer
Thomas Smith has more than 27 years experience in building and leading financial organizations, utilizing his expertise in business planning, financial reporting and budget development to improve corporate performance and value. Prior to joining Medrium in May 2007, Mr. Smith served as Chief Financial Officer for Vestcom Mid-Atlantic, Inc., a leading business process outsourcer. Prior to Vestcom, Mr. Smith served as Chief Executive Officer for Hatteras Press where he was responsible for the development of business strategies and annual operating plans. Mr. Smith is a graduate of Rutgers College of Arts ® Sciences where he earned his B.A. in Accounting.
Judith Millsaps
Vice President of Operations
Ms. Millsaps has extensive experience in business performance improvement, M®A, corporate strategy and consulting services. Ms. Millsaps is the former Chief Operating Officer of GE Capital Employer Services Group (ESG). In this position, Judith was responsible for planning and integration of ESG acquisitions along with managing the operations of the Group’s dental, disability and life insurance offerings. Prior to this, Ms. Millsaps was Senior Vice President of Six Sigma at GE Capital TIP where she was responsible for deploying the Six Sigma improvement methodology throughout the division. Ms. Millsaps also held various positions in operations, sales, marketing and finance at AT®T. She holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from University of Florida, an M.S. in Management from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Budapest University.
Remy Beaumont
Vice President of Research and Development
Mr. Beaumont joined Medrium in 1999 as the Company’s first employee. He worked with Mr. Mokkapati in the design and implementation of Medrium’s billing system. Prior to joining Medrium, Mr. Beaumont was a senior software engineer at Visigenic. Mr. Beaumont received a B.S. in Software Engineering from Laval University in Quebec.
